Whether you're navigating higher education for the first time or returning to school, EOPS provides personalized support to help you overcome barriers and succeed.
By joining Mission's EOPS, eligible students gain access to a wealth of resources, including one-on-one counseling, financial assistance, priority registration, and more. Students in the program are encouraged to connect with our dedicated counselors, who are available to assist with everything from academic planning to personal development.

EOPS has been a cornerstone of California Community Colleges since its inception in 1969, founded in the Civil Rights Movement. The goal was to support students affected by language, social, and economic disadvantages. Mission College’s EOPS program has been helping students succeed since 1979, consistently serving over 300 students every semester.

Mission EOPS is committed to providing resources to students who have faced educational disadvantages. To qualify, you must meet certain criteria, including being a California resident or CA DREAMER/DACA/AB540 student and meeting the following academic needs:
Additionally, you must be enrolled full-time (12+ units) in your first semester. There are exceptions for students with disabilities (DSPS) or foster youth, where reduced unit accommodation may apply.
