Steps to Join

Apply to Mission College: Create an OpenCCC Apply account. You will get your student ID in 2-3 business days.
Determine English and Math Placement: Use our Placement Assistance Tool at MissionCollege.edu/Placement to find your appropriate placement.
Complete the Dual Enrollment Form: Choose your courses and get required signatures from your parent/guardian and school counselor by filling out our form. Processing takes 2-3 business days.
Clear Prerequisites: Meet course prerequisites or complete a Prerequisite Challenge form if you believe you qualify.
Register Online: After form processing, you’ll receive your registration date via email. Register through the My Mission Portal.
Activate Your WVM Email: All official communication will be sent to your WVM email. Get help activating it via our Student Email page.

How many units can I take each term?

Fall/Spring: Up to 8 units (non-MECHS students)
Winter: Up to 6 units (all students)
Summer: Up to 9 units (all students)
Additional units require a petition.

Students in 9th Grade or Below

Students with academic readiness and maturity may apply with approval. Requirements include:

Meeting with the Director of Outreach & Student Development.
Submitting a signed Dual Enrollment Form, transcripts, and supporting documents.
Approval is not guaranteed.
