College Council

College Council is the central participatory governance body at Mission College, where diverse voices come together to co-create the future of our institution. It embodies our commitment to “power with, not power over” by ensuring that students, faculty, classified professionals, and administrators have meaningful influence in shaping college-wide policies, planning, and operations. College Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC)
Provides recommendations and guidance regarding the allocation of resources and the college’s financial priorities.

Facilities & Safety Committee
Ensures Mission College remains a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment by guiding planning and improvements related to campus facilities, health, safety, emergency planning, and sustainability, all in alignment with our values of equity, inclusion, and community well-being.

Institutional Effectiveness Committee
Guides college-wide planning by evaluating student and institutional outcomes, aligning strategic goals to our mission, and ensuring that Mission College stays accountable to continuous, equity-centered improvement.

Professional Learning Committee
Guides the design and coordination of inclusive, equity-centered professional development for all employee groups, advancing Mission College’s collective capacity to support student success through growth, collaboration, and shared learning.

Student Outreach, Access, Resilience, and Success Committee (SOARS)

Sustainability Subcommittee

Distance Education Committee
